This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks

About Doug Kreuger
Doug Kreuger, Landscape Artist Member of Oil Painters of America Doug was born in, Aberdeen, South Dakota, and grew up in Hazel Crest, Illinois. From early childhood, Doug demonstrated a strong interest in drawing, painting, and building things. Throughout his school years, Doug excelled in all his art classes, winning numerous awards and recognition for his artistic abilities. 

Upon graduating from high school, Doug became a student at The American Academy of Art, Chicago, where he studied commercial graphics, life drawing and watercolors. 

Doug's first job as a professional artist was with Unigraf, a company that specialized in designing P.O.P (point-of-purchase) displays and display graphics. Doug left that company...

Revisiting to admire and enjoy this beauty, Doug! What gorgeous fish! Last year we had over 500 fish in our pond - until they were discovered by a mink. He came and threw them all out onto the rocks and left them to die and didn't even bother eating them. Only 8 remained in the Fall. Hope they survive the winter! L/F

Thanks again Hanne! So sorry for your loss of fish. Your pond sounds much larger than mine. It may be more on the scale of my brother's ponds. He will occasionally lose a fish or two to a heron—but nothing as devastating as your mink!
